MealGen AI publishes general nutrition information for educational purposes. Our content is not written or reviewed by physicians or registered dietitians, and it is not medical advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making significant changes to your diet.

1. Who Writes Our Content

Articles and meal data on MealGen AI are researched and written by our in-house editorial team. We are writers and software developers with a strong interest in nutrition — we are not licensed medical or nutrition professionals.

We do not currently have a physician or registered dietitian on staff, and our articles do not carry a medical review. We state this openly because we would rather you weigh our content accordingly than assume a level of clinical authority we do not have. Where a topic requires professional judgment — dosing, medical conditions, medication interactions, pregnancy, pediatric nutrition, or eating disorders — we say so and direct you to a qualified professional instead of guessing.

2. How We Research

3. How Our Nutrition Estimates Are Produced

Every meal in our database carries estimated calorie, protein, carbohydrate, and fat values for a typical single serving. These are derived from standard portion sizes and commonly published values for each ingredient, then rounded for readability.

These are genuinely estimates, and we label them as such throughout the site. Actual values vary with portion size, specific brands and cuts, cooking method, and any added fats or condiments. They are suitable for general meal planning. They are not suitable as a substitute for verified nutrition labels where medical accuracy matters — for example, carbohydrate counting for diabetes management.

4. Full Medical Disclaimer

The content and tools on MealGen AI are provided for general informational and educational purposes only. They do not constitute medical, nutritional, dietary, or healthcare advice, and no doctor–patient or clinician–client relationship is created by your use of this site.

Meal plans generated by our tool are software-produced general suggestions. They are not personalized to your health status, medical history, allergies, intolerances, medications, or individual nutritional requirements. Nothing here is intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or condition.

Consult a physician or registered dietitian before changing your diet, particularly if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, under 18, managing a medical condition (including diabetes, kidney disease, heart disease, or an eating disorder), or taking medication that interacts with food. Never disregard or delay seeking professional medical advice because of something you read here. If you believe you may have a medical emergency, contact your doctor or emergency services immediately.

Always verify ingredient lists against your own allergies and intolerances before preparing any meal suggested by this site.

5. Corrections

We correct errors. If you spot an inaccurate nutrition figure, a factual mistake in an article, or a meal tagged with the wrong diet category, please tell us via our Contact page and we will review it.

When we correct something substantive, we update the page and revise its "last updated" date. We do not silently delete content to hide an error.

6. Advertising & Independence

MealGen AI is free to use and is funded by display advertising, including Google AdSense. Advertising revenue is what keeps the tool free and unpaywalled.

Details on advertising cookies and your choices are in our Privacy Policy.

7. Content Updates

Nutrition guidance changes as research develops. We periodically review published articles and update them where guidance has shifted or where we can make something clearer. Each article shows its publication and last-updated dates.
